Happy October! An all time favorite month of mine from my friends’ birthdays to celebrating all the great fall activities with cooler weather. My ultimate favorite activity to participate in is Halloween and I live for All Hallows Eve. Before my college years, I would sit down with my school issued IPad and research tons of pop culture moments ranging from the best celebrity power moves to movies that dominated the box office as well as the costume market. But my favorite costumes from my past were always the ones I planned with friends. Here are some ideas for your group costumes this year, treat yourself to some Halloween fun this year!

Ghostbusters:

This is an easy go-to friend costume because it doesn’t cause a lot of fighting within. Everyone will be wearing the same thing so no need to fight over who  gets to be which Ghostbuster. Overall this is a great costume for the group to have fun and match.

Scooby Doo Gang:

This has always been my dream group costume. For as long as I can remember I begged my friend groups to dress as the iconic Hanna-Barbera gang, but I wanted to be Daphne and they had no clue who the gang even was. So hopefully your costume will turn out better than mine but this is such a fun group costume to go out and celebrate, maybe solve a mystery or two.

Great Gatsby:

In middle school I went through a huge Great Gatsby phase, everything had to be in 1920’s style and that included my wardrobe. An exciting and easy costume for your group this year is a simple flapper dress/suit with feathers, pearls and of course sparkle. You know you’re going to party when a group of flappers come into town.

Disney Princesses:

This was my favorite costume I have ever done with my friends. It was 100% a core memory to sit at my friend’s kitchen table doing our hair and makeup to look just like our favorite princesses. There is something so ‘magical’ about being in fancy dresses dancing down the streets on Halloween holding hands with your best friends. There is so much variety with this costume and you can play around with how you want to achieve this look.
