The Super Bowl is back and better than ever. This year for a 30-second Super Bowl ad, advertisers had to pay seven million dollars to air it.

Let’s take a look at some of the best commercials from this football season.

Cetaphil

This season, Taylor Swift has solidified her presence in the football universe, so did you really expect her to not be included in one of the commercials?

In this Cetaphil ad, a father and daughter never had something to bond over. When Swift entered the football universe, they finally had something to connect on.

It’s a very simple and heartwarming story that you can tell was made with love.

Verizon

For this Verizon commercial, Beyoncé is attempting to break the internet. She is serving looks and doings things that are a play-off of her name.

At the very end of the commercial, she hints to dropping new music. As fans start going crazy on social media about it, she releases two songs titled “TEXAS, HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES,” and announces the act two release of her album, “RENAISSANCE.”

Overall, this was a very funny and creative commercial to watch.

State Farm

In this new State Farm commercial, Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as an actor who can’t pronounce the word “neighbor.”

This was a fun commercial to watch because personally I loved the “Terminator” franchise and it was a pleasure to see Schwarzenegger again on the screen.

Danny DeVito also makes a short cameo which adds that extra level of randomness and humor.

CeraVe

During this year’s Super Bowl, Michael Cera took over the skincare brand CeraVe. In the commercial, he is trying to pitch an ad to CeraVe executives because his last name is “Cera,” and it would be a “perfect crossover opportunity” as he quotes in the ad.

Cera is amazing in every role he stars in, and this is no exception. The play on words matches his personality and brand surprisingly well.

Starry

Popular rapper Ice Spice made her debut appearance in a Super Bowl commercial with Starry.

In the advertisement, she’s chilling with “Starry,” but her ex-boyfriend “Lemon-Lime Soda” comes around and wants her back.

The animation was impressive, and the concept was simple but well executed.

Hellmann’s

The Kansas City Chiefs may have won the Super Bowl, but the true winner was “Mayo Cat.”

Kate McKinnon stars in this quirky Hellmann’s mayonnaise promotion, along the infamous Mayo Cat. Pete Davidson also makes a quick cameo (the small cameos in the Super Bowl commercials seem to be an ongoing theme this year), being seen with Mayo Cat on the red carpet.

This ad is witty and entertaining with a cute and fluffy animal as the star, which you can’t go wrong with.

Doritos Dinamita

Jenna Ortega, star of “Wednesday” and “Scream 6,” was featured in this advertisement for Doritos Dinamita.

She plays the granddaughter of Dina and Mita, who are trying to acquire the last bag of Doritos Dinamita from the shelf, before Danny Ramirez steals it from them.

This commercial was very eye-catching and hard to look away from and had amazing Latino talent.

Pluto TV

Call me a couch potato because I can’t stop watching this commercial. Pluto TV’s ad about people becoming couch potatoes is very relatable for our day and age.

The environment looks super joyous and lively and you can tell the vision of the ad was accomplished beautifully.

Dunkin’

The “DunKings” had me laughing out loud hysterically.

Dunkin’s advertisement featured a wide range of celebrities including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Matt Damon, Tom Brady and Jack Harlow.

The delivery of the dialogue combined with the humorous dance number provided on-screen chemistry that can’t be replicated.

At the very end of the ad, there was a hint that Ben Affleck is going to have a featured drink at Dunkin’.

Bud light

Lastly, we have the classic Bud Light commercial, with a little twist. In the promotion, a Bud Light genie has been discovered and the characters are using him to make absurd and wild wishes.

Post Malone, Peyton Manning and Dana White star in the wacky commercial, ending up at a house party with a Tyrannosaurus rex crashing through the backyard.

There are good vibes all around with witty humor and good music.

What an amazing night of fun and goofy television. Let’s hope to see even better commercials next year in Super Bowl LIX.
