Now Accepting New Members for the Spring Semester!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

Calling all writers, event planners and social media savvies! We’re proud to announce Her Campus Penn State will be accepting new members for the spring semester.

We are the Penn State chapter of HerCampus.com – a national website known as the #1 global community for college women since its creation in 2009. The best part? It’s written entirely by the world’s top college journalists – you could be one of them.

Becoming a member of HC PSU will not only mean the chance to have your writing published on a national stage, but it will also include event planning, volunteering, promotional opportunities and social strategy. Building these professional skills while being given the chance to interact with others who share your same passion will yield endless possibilities for your future endeavors. Sound too good to be true?  It’s not, we promise!

Interested? Fill out this application and be sure to send a resume and a 300-500 word sample prompt of your choice to us at psu@hercampus.com. The prompt should reflect the type of writing found on our site and may cover any topic our readers would be interested in. We will be notifying our new members sometime during the first week of classes.

Feel free to email us with any questions, and we look forward to receiving your applications!

Rachael David is currently a senior at Penn State University and serves as the Campus Correspondent for Her Campus Penn State. She is majoring in public relations and minoring in psychology. Her love of creative writing and all things Penn State is what inspired her to become a member of the HC team in the fall of 2013. Her background experience includes working for the Undergraduate Admissions Office at Penn State as a social media intern in the spring of 2014 and is currently working as a social media intern for an internet marketing company in Harrisburg called WebpageFX. This past summer she also served as a PR intern for Tierney Communications. Rachael enjoys anything media related especially catching up on her favorite shows, including Saturday Night Live and any show on Food Network. She has a passion for food but also loves being active and spending her free time running or hiking. She hopes to gain more experience in all aspects of the media industry during college and plans on pursuing a career writing for a life & style publication in the future.
