One of my favorite pastimes is online window shopping: choosing a website, adding a bunch of items to my cart and inevitably closing the tab without buying a single thing. As a college student, it would not be wise to drop $400 at Sephora on a random Wednesday, but a girl can dream.

That being said, my imaginary Sephora basket is racking up.

Here’s what I’ve got my eye on:

As always, everything I buy and recommend from Sephora is 100% cruelty free!

Topicals Slick Salve Glossy lip Balm ($16)

As an avid user of the famous Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm, I absolutely need to try this one out. The two products seem undeniably similar, but Topicals’ has an enticing mint flavor and is rumored to have a stickier and longer-lasting texture. Not to mention, Topicals is a cruelty-free and Black woman owned business.

Unfortunately, everyone else seems to have the same idea, seeing as this product has been sold out for weeks.

Gisou Mini honey infused hair perfume ($44)

I am a perfume hoarder and though I’m trying to be better, this new fragrance launch is not helping my case. Many buyers took to social media to proclaim that this is their favorite of Gisou’s three Honey Infused Hair Perfumes.

I’ve never tried any Gisou products, so I’ll definitely need to give this a try in-store first.

LYS Beauty no limits matte bronzer ($19)

As a pale girl, I’ve been searching for a bronzer that is neutral toned enough to achieve a natural bronze without looking orange. This bronzer caught my eye because it has a very light shade available which doesn’t look orange at all.

Plus, it’s talc free, cruelty free, made with clean ingredients, Black owned and fairly priced.

Charlotte Tilbury mini airbrush flawless finish setting powder ($28)

If you’re like me and currently running out of the Laura Mercier loose powder you received as a free Sephora birthday gift in 2022, you know it’s time for an upgrade.

Setting powder makes such a difference in my opinion — even if I don’t wear any other makeup that day, I oftentimes still dust my face with a bit of it. Powder keeps my under eyes looking smooth and controls any oiliness.

I’ll definitely be adding the mini size to my cart, because you will not catch me dropping bands on the full size.

Phlur Father figure eau de parfum ($99)

Since smelling it in store weeks ago, not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought about this perfume. Hence the name, it is slightly masculine and features a fig note (Father FIGure, get it?). It’s fresh, clean, enticing and sweet yet also musky and warm.

I would advise anyone who’s interested in buying their huge Sephora cart (like I am) to resist the urge until a few months. During April, Sephora hosts their annual Spring Savings Event where customers can take up to 20% off everything.

Until then, happy window shopping!
