“April Fools” – the first day the month where practically anything goes as long as these two words follow. I predict a handful of “Bye Bye Blonde” tweets and Facebook announcements of college transfer decisions. Us collegiettes are more mature than that though, right? Well, maybe not. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a good prank?
Although Ashton Kutcher no longer graces us with his hilarious pranks on MTV’s “Punk’d,” many famous faces continue to show us their humor through wild pranks. Let’s take at look some epic celebrity spoofs:
Taylor Swift pranked on ‘Ellen’
Ellen DeGeneres is a notoriously funny woman, always pulling pranks on guests of her daytime talk show. However, Taylor Swift has certainly had her fair share of Ellen pranks, eight of them to be exact. The poor girl is no stranger to sneak attacks but it’s all in good fun. Take a look.
Prank Call to Kate Middleton’s Hospital
What started out as a harmless prank turned out to be quite tragic. An Australian Radio show host pretended to be the Queen of England when she and her co-host prank called Kate Middleton’s hospital. The nurse who answered the call truly believed it was the Queen and released confidential information regarding the status of Kate’s health. After she found out she had been pranked, she ended up committing suicide. Could this be the worst prank of the year? I’d say so.
Kendall Jenner goes… blonde?
One of two little sisters to the Kardashian Klan fooled us all when she posted a picture on Instagram with the caption, “New look….? What do u think? lol.” She could have fooled us… and she did! Many gossip sites truly believed her new ‘do was legitimate.
‘The Hills’ Series Finale
In 2010, TV’s biggest guilty pleasure came to an end as we said our goodbyes to the genetically gifted twenty-somethings of “The Hills.” The episode ended with a dramatic farewell between Kristin Cavellari and Brody Jenner. Kristin got into her fancy car and drove away staring out the window to the tune of “Unwritten” as Brody stood perfectly in front of the famous Hollywood sign. Then and there, a huge OMG moment surprised us all. In the middle of the scene, Kristin’s car stopped and she opened the door. The Hollywood background behind Brody wheeled off to the side. The whole thing was a set! The reality show we have known and loved for years turned out to be not so “real” after all. It’s okay – we still love it!
