As students wake up, even before the sun arises, they wander down to the bottom of Franz to receive their morning cup of coffee. But who is the person behind the counter serving coffee with a smile for eight years? This wonderful person is Suzy Clemens.
Originally from Ulm, Germany, she has lived in the states for 17 years. Suzy is not only the campus’ loved barista, she is also a friend to students and faculty. She is the person who wishes you luck before a test, and the person to comfort you if you don’t do well on it!
At work, the most popular drink this year has been chai lattes. However, Suzy’s favorite drink is caramel Americanos. What Suzy loves most about her job are the students.
“I meet so many young people that are smart and wonderful,” Suzy said. They are so inspirational. It gives me hope for the future.”
