Last year, you had your time to experience the miserable heat of Lawrence Hall or the communal bathrooms of Thayer Hall. Now, it’s time to move on to bigger and better things…Conestoga Hall. This residence hall, a suite-style dorm primarily for sophomores, is really nice, but it does have a few quirks about it… You truly know you live in Conestoga Hall when:
1. You go to Starbucks way too frequently because it is legitimately the first floor of your building
2. You wait for what feels like two hours for the elevator door to close on the first floor
3. And you wait for what feels like even longer for the elevator door to open when you finally get to your floor
4. A shower with hot water is somewhat of a miracle
5. You still get amazed by the amount of Pizza Fiesta boxes in the lobby that appear every single Sunday
6. You still adjust your thermostat even though you know the temperature in your room is going to do whatever it wants (for example, my thermostat is currently set at 68, however the temperature is 75).
7. You’re really confused as to why the setup of every single room in the building is entirely different from one another
8. You dream about the luxury of having a real kitchen with an actual stove and oven
9. But you still try to bake things in the microwave and toaster oven, even though it hasn’t tasted good a single time you’ve tried
10. You look out the windows of West Penn constantly in an attempt to find which room is yours
11. You wonder if a couch could possibly be less comfortable
12. You absolutely adore your view of the river and the Smithfield Street Bridge
13. You are either really happy that you got the bathroom in your own room or really annoyed that you got the bathroom connected to the living room
14. You still kind of hate the laundry setup, but thank your lucky stars you don’t have to deal with the laundry room in Lawrence Hall anymore
15. Even though you constantly complain about your living space, you secretly love it and it feels like home
