Parachute at The Rex Theatre

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Point Park chapter.

Is there anything that the Southside doesn’t have? The Rex Theater is an old school music venue located on East Carson Street with an endless show line-up! This past week the band Parachute lit the place up.

Style

When going to a concert a venue like the Rex, I like to keep it simple (and I somehow end up dressing like I’m a member of the band). The shirt is from Forever21, black jeggins from American Eagle, boots from Old Navy with a flannel from Hollister tied around my waist.

The Show

The show opened up with an adorable singer, Matt Wertz. He sings acoustic songs about love and his smile will melt your heart. His album Old Flames came out earlier this year but his single Someone Like You is one to check out!

Parachute sang a variety of songs from their past 3 albums, including their most popular hit, She is Love.

Want to see a show at The Rex Theater? Check out their line up for the rest of the year here!
