Let me give you a brief preview of myself in the year 2003 (sixth grade): long hair that I didn’t know how to style so I just wore tons of hair ties in it, braces that were bright, neon colors, wire rimmed glasses, and not quite sure of my style yet. In fact, because I was just starting my intense growth spurts I didn’t know how to wear clothes so most things were awkwardly draped on my body. So, to sum it up: I was a mess. Then I thought, ‘Hey, let me write in a journal about my really, really intense sixth grade problems.’ And now here we are. My entries are so random with interesting subject changes. Like Derilyn’s first post names have been changed to protect my dignity. Spelling errors and bad grammar? That I left. Oh! My journal was also a Harry Potter journal. Solid.

Dear Diary,
It’s yo girl Adéla! (I actually used the word yo, excuse me while I go hang my head in shame) I just got back from skool and today was pretty fun. I got a 97 on my history test. But I think Jim copied me because he was looking at my paper. Ugh I am SO mad @ the girls from my school. They think I like Sam! I do not. He looks weird and has weird shoes. I am going to bring you to skool tmrw. I am not yet used to writing in you. But Bob, the pencil, is! A girl at skool thinks the perfume I wear stinks! She stinks! I sprayed in on the page so you can smell it. (you can still see where I sprayed it, all scent is gone though) I decided I am going to write songs for a living. I want to make a lot of money. I started a song called theres a little bit of magic in you. Here are some words:
Theres a little bit of magic in your heart,
Theres a little bit of magic in you
Theres a little bit of magic in your heart,
Theres a little bit of magic in you.
That’s all I got but I will def keep you updated! My mom told me today that my neighbor read you! How nosy! It is my personal property. I am very upset and angry. She is also making me vacuum today. I don’t want to so I maybe won’t. I want to go to Anna’s house. We like to pretend we are in Harry Potter. It’s very fun. I always get to date Fred. We do spells with chopsticks. Oh! I have to go now, I have a voice lesson (ew)
I promise ill write when I get back!!!
xoxo
Your girl,
Adél
Ps. I decided im naming you. Diary isn’t good enough. Ill let you know what I decide today.
Pps. Or tmrw because I may be really busy.
BYE!
(random stamp of my thumbprint)
There you have it. All I can say is this: I swear I’m normal now.
