HC: What are you studying?

MV: I’m a nursing major!

HC: What organizations are you involved with on campus?

MV: I am an RA in Lothrop Hall, I play Quidditch for the university club team, I am a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success, and I am involved with the Resident Student Association.

HC: What are your plans after Pitt?

MV: After Pitt, I plan on starting off as an ER nurse and working my way up to flight nursing. Truthfully, I’ll go wherever I can get a job!

HC: Describe your perfect date night.

MV: While I’m a fan of the classic movie and dinner, I’d love to go explore a part of the city in which I’d never been before. Finding new places is exciting!

HC: What is your favorite memory at Pitt so far?

MV: I’ve had so many amazing experiences at Pitt that I’m not sure I could pick just one. I’ve really enjoyed all the friendships that have developed over the past two years, and any moment shared with my friends is a favorite.

HC: Name three things you look for in a significant other.

MV: I look for a genuine personality; don’t pretend to be someone you’re not! Loyalty is an important factor; I’m not going to put time into something if you aren’t. I also look for a good sense of humor; y’all need to know how to have fun!

HC: What is your biggest turnoff?

MV: Lying

HC: Name a song, movie, and snack your obsessed with at the moment!

MV: Song: “Anything New” by Bibio

Movie: Cannot wait for Disney’s Maleficent to hit theaters in May

Snack: Those devilishly delicious little pretzel and hummus packs

HC: What is your favorite place in the world? Why?

MV: At this moment in time, Pittsburgh is probably my favorite place. There is opportunity, life, culture, and a nice mix of peaceful and crazy. I’m also surrounded by some of my best friends, which truly makes the experience worthwhile!
