How- to: fishtail braid

Here’s a cute and different way to braid your hair for all of you girls with layered hair that won’t stay in a regular braid. Don’t worry, you’ll be surprised, it’s MUCH easier than it looks.

Materials
— hair tie (mini rubber bands work best)

1. start by separating hair into two equal sections (we’ll call them A and B)

2. separate a small piece of hair from the outside of section A

3. take the small section of hair and take it over the rest of section A and add it to section B

4. separate a small piece of hair from the outside of section B
5. take the small section of hair and take it over the rest of section B and add it to section A
6. repeat the process until you run out of hair
7. tie with a hair tie. — for a tighter, more obvious fishtail, use smaller sections of hair from the outside — for a different look, do a mini fishtail and leave the rest of your hair down — or start with a french braid (or french fishtail if you can figure out how it would work) and go into a fishtail
