Coffee Coffee Coffee: Your Addiction Told by Gilmore Girls

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

I don’t know about you, but Lorelei Gilmore is my spirit animal. Her caffeine infused and quirky self gives me life, and one of the biggest things we have in common is our love of everything coffee. Coffee helps me feel human; it is all powerful and literally this morning in a job interview, I referenced coffee as being my #1 cheerleader and motivator when getting things done. I think my exact words were, “I can do anything with coffee.” But really, I acknowledge I am addicted to coffee. After all, it is not only an addiction, it is a lifestyle.

You know you are addicted to coffee when…

Every morning is a coffee morning.

You cannot form sentences in the morning before taking a few sips.

Rory’s face says all.

Your friends and family are very careful with their interactions with you until they are aware that you have a sufficient amount of caffeine coursing through your veins.

Coffee is your super power. Your key to being human.

Your biggest emotional attachment is with your barista.

**They provide the coffee… duh**

You never stray from your go-to order.

Why would someone even try to question you?

And you cringe when the coffee isn’t ready or the people in front of you are taking foreverrrr to order.

There have been times when your whole body shakes from caffeine jitters, but you still need more!

It’s how you cope with your busy, girl-boss lifestyle.

Sometimes the mid-afternoon caffeine headache sets in and you find yourself in a very desperate place.

Some people will just never understand.

Giving up coffee would be the end of the world!

You love it more than life itself.

Cheers!
