16 Foods That Are Better Than A Boyfriend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

If you know me, you know these two things about me: I am insanely independent, and I have a love for food so deep that Shakespeare could’ve devoted a whole play to it. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the male species and despise the thought of a relationship, I just haven’t met someone at this point in my life that I can see being in a relationship with. And besides, boys come and go, but food is always there for you, 24/7, 365 days a year. If you feel the same way I do, here’s a list of foods I would much rather hold hands with at any hour of the day.

1. Pizza

Pizza in the shape of a heart; what more could you want?

2. Bagels

The cheesier, the better.

3. Wine

Though not necessarily a food, I still consider wine a food group…

4. Margaritas

…same with margaritas.

5. French Fries

The saying “fries before guys” exists for a reason.

6. Pasta

The mountain of cheese really speaks to my soul.

7. Chocolate

When chocolate covered waffles exist, who needs a boyfriend?

8. Tacos

Nothing turns me on quite like tacos do.

9. Donuts

*insert heart-eye emoji*

10. Chicken Tenders

A girl’s best friend.

11.  Mac and Cheese

Cheesy in all the right ways.

12. Milkshakes

I couldn’t care less if this brings all the boys to the yard.

13. Grilled Cheese

Easy, cheesy, beautiful.

14.  Ice cream

All I need in this life of sin.

15. Cheeseburgers

My favorite type of buns to (consensually) squeeze.

16. Anything covered in Nutella

The possibilities are endless.

You can usually find me blasting country music a little too loud while wearing a floppy hat.
