10 Nail Colors You Can Wear During Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

The fall is a time for cable-knit scarves, cute coats, gorgeous boots and, of course, fall-appropriate nails. These 9 shades are my favorite fall go-to colors, and I think they will be yours too. While I kept some fall colors (check Lincoln Park after Dark) there are some other colors that you may not think are fall-esque. Check ‘em out!
(Lavender isn’t just for spring)

Essie, Blaine: This metallic white is perfect for the fall: it’s crisp and cool, and easy to pair with your black fall coat.

O.P.I, Tickle me France-y: The best nude I’ve ever used. It’s neutral enough to match with anything, but dark enough to get noticed. Definitely a must have.

Essie, Playdate: Lavender is not just for spring. This bright purple is perfect for the rainy Pittsburgh fall days (there are plenty of those). It will pop against the grey environment. Don’t you love when you can recycle nail polish colors?

Essie, Where’s my chauffer?: This turquoise is in the same category as Playdate: a spring/summer color that can be recycled into the fall. Dark blue is very in during the fall (see 8) so this turquoise is a different feel on the ever-pleasing blue color.

Essie, Action: If someone were to name colors that remind them of fall, orange would be one. This orange is not only bright, but super shiny, perfect for clutching onto that pumpkin spice latte.

Essie, Mojito Madness: Light green isn’t typically thought to be a ‘fall’ color but why not put it on your nails? This green is dark enough to not be too summer-y but light enough to spice up your wardrobe.

O.P.I, Curry up and don’t be late: This is a great gold color for the fall, which is related to the yellow summer nail polish, perfect for fall dates.

Essie, Lollipop: Another fall color? Red. Lollipop is incredibly red, incredibly bright and incredibly sexy.

O.P.I, Russian Navy: However, everyone needs some dark fall nail colors. Russian Navy is that color. If you’re not up for turquoise blue, opt for this guy: dark blue with a hint of sparkle.

O.P.I, Lincoln Park after dark: As well, if you’re not up for Lavender, Lincoln Park after dark is the perfect alternate. It’s a dark purple that translates black in some lights. You cannot go wrong with this color for the fall.
