Breakfast Ideas at the Waves Café

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pepperdine chapter.

It’s 7:30 and the Waves Café has just opened for breakfast. Or perhaps you’re part of that elite group who has a 10:00 A.M class, so let’s say you’re in the café at 9:30, and your plagued with the question of what to get for breakfast. Maybe you’re tempted to go with your usual breakfast burrito or maybe you want to switch things up and head to that omelet bar. Let the following suggestions guide you as you prepare for your early morning feast, because, after all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

1.     Chocolate Chip Pancakes+egg whites+a side of berries+Tazo’s English Breakfast Tea (One lump of sugar or two?)

2.     Omelet with onions, peppers, spinach+assorted melons and berries+side of tator tots+iced coffee

3.     Veggie breakfast burrito+fruit+tea of your choice

4.     French Toast+scrambled eggs+bacon+potatoes+cup of coffee: for those days when you’re feeling extra hungry

5.     Toast+jam+side of eggs+berries: suggestion: put the berries on your toast for a delightful treat

6.     Bagel sandwich+potatoes+side of fruit

7.     If you’re feeling utterly Parisian go for the chocolate croissant, a side of berries, and a cup of coffee or tea.

8.     Oatmeal+berries+chocolate chip muffin

9.     Berries+granola+Greek yogurt+muffin+cup of tea (English Breakfast is suggested)

10. While cereal is a classic college delicacy, get your protein by getting a side of eggs and bacon or sausage along with your cereal

11. Don’t want to add granola to your yogurt? No problem. Try adding some Total cereal or if you’re feeling extra adventurous Lucky Charms or Apple Jacks, and some fresh berries to your mix. Accompany with some Early Grey Tea.

12. Totally in a rush? Grab a cup of fruit and a ThinkThin bar for a quick on the go breakfast.
