This past weekend, the lovely Her Campus Pace E-Board spent their Saturday in an eight-hour training session. We learned all the important pieces that make up a fully functioning organization, like, how to request to use our budget, when to order catering in time for an event, the usual stuff.
Later on, we were told to write down a few things, what we think Her Campus is, what we think it should be, how we plan to expand, our vision, and goals. I felt this half of the session was very productive and necessary for an organization’s growth.
Afterwards, I spoke with our secretary, Nicole about what she took away from the training session. And, she said she felt it gave her motivation to work to achieve our goals as an organization.
Writing down our plans for the new school year was a great idea and I hope to pass that down to the next E-Board after we graduate!
