I Went to Night 10 of Harry Styles’ Love on Tour: Here’s What Happened

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

I never considered myself a huge Harry Styles fan. I don’t know why if I’m being completely honest. Maybe it’s because I didn’t want to “be like other girls” or it’s because the crazy fan stories always turned me away from claiming myself as a “fan.” But, when I found out about Harry Styles’ 15-show residency at Madison Square Garden and that my friend was selling her tickets, I knew I had to go. So, here’s a list of five things that happened:

Chris pine

I was in the lower bowl so I could see peoples’ signs in the pit pretty well. A lot of them were referring to the Venice Film Festival incident from the night before, I didn’t think he would actually acknowledge them. But, then he told us that he “[popped] very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine,” as he laughed. We all know the tension surrounding the film, Don’t Worry Darling, so I had very little faith that he’d talk about it. Nonetheless, it was funny and I’m glad he did.

‘Medicine’

Yeah. He sang “Medicine.” As a self-proclaimed “casual Harry listener,” I didn’t think I’d have the pleasure of seeing that song live. But I did!

NO ‘Boyfriends’

Let me start by saying I didn’t think he would play “Boyfriends,” but it is my favorite song off of Harry’s House so a small part of me was hoping, wishing and praying. If I had a chance to see that song live, I would never complain about anything ever again.

A cute outfit

Styles wore a pink and yellow chevron outfit with sparkly pants and I’m gonna be honest, I thought it was cute! I have a feeling it’s not going to be a fan favorite but that’s okay cuz having different opinions than others fuels my individuality complex.

Great setlist

The setlist is everywhere, but if you can avoid seeing it, I highly recommend not looking at or memorizing the setlist before a Harry Styles show. Each song was a surprise and I honestly did not know what song he was going to end with. It kept me on my toes and kept the show super exciting.

I love that man. I am definitely more than a fan now and am so glad that I had the opportunity to attend his residency at Madison Square Garden. It was a great show; if I can afford it, I would definitely love to see him live again and totally recommend that you should too if you’re able.
