5 Trader Joe’s Fall Items You Need to Try

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

Fall is finally here, and what better way is there to celebrate than by grabbing a basket of goodies at Trader Joe’s? As many people know, TJ’s is known for its selection of innovative and seasonal delicious snacks. With the arrival of the new season, as a self-proclaimed TJ’s connoisseur, I am (probably a little too) thrilled to share with you some of my favorite autumn-themed items in-store right now.

  • Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage

The original Trader Joe’s Non-Dairy Oat Beverage is my favorite oat milk; it’s creamy and slightly sweet without having any added sugar. This year it has received a fall makeover and is truly a must-have. Feel free to drink it on its own, or add it to coffee, smoothies, cereal…the opportunities are endless!

  • Pumpkin Bagels

One of my FAVORITE breakfast options in the fall are the pumpkin bagels from Trader Joe’s. They’re made with pumpkin flour and have pieces of sweet pumpkin pie filling (my favorite part). I typically eat them straight out of the bag, but you can enjoy them toasted with (pumpkin) cream cheese or peanut butter. Addicting. Love your tone and style!

  • Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese

I know this one sounds strange, but don’t knock it until you try it! TJ’s thoroughly impressed me with this creamy mac and cheese blended with butternut squash puree and subtle hints of nutmeg and sage. Not only is it easy to prepare and a total comfort food, but it’s also a perfect opportunity to get your veggies in!

  • Pumpkin Samosas

Trader Joe’s is known to put seasonal twists on international cuisines, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fall-inspired pumpkin samosas. The pairing of both sweet and savory filling with a warm flakey shell makes them the perfect bite-sized snack. I’ve been enjoying them with rice and veggies, and they’ve become the perfect college meal. Good luck trying not to eat the whole bag in one sitting.

  • Cinnamon Bun Spread

This stuff is heaven in a jar. Somehow TJ’s has managed to combine the filling and icing of a cinnamon roll into a spread (don’t ask me how they did it). Feel free to spice up your breakfast with cinnamon bun waffles, pancakes, and french toast, or drizzle it on top of apples and ice cream. It’s super sweet but you only need a dollop to bring out the delicious cinnamon flavor.
