Dance Production Thai Eagle Rox Fundraiser – 11:00 AM. Come support Dance Production and feast on some delicious Thai food. If you reserve ahead of time for parties of 10+, Thai Eagle Rox will donate a larger portion of the proceeds to the club.

Career Sessions: Learning Beyond the Campus Walls – 11:30 AM

– “Learning Beyond the Campus Walls” is one of four Career Sessions to be offered during Homeoming & Family Weekend by the CDC and the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement.

– Life’s best lessons are often learned outside the classroom. Oxy students enhance their education through study abroad, internships and special programs like Oxy at the UN and Campaign Semester. Come hear from Oxy staff, including Peter Drier, Professor of Politics, and Liselda Fabian, Internship Coordinator, about how the entire Oxy community is working to shape the next generation of Oxy alumni by providing real world experiences for today’s students.

Career Sessions: Great Professors Make Great Students – 11:30 AM. “Great Professors Make Great Students” is one of four Career Sessions to be offered during Homeoming & Family Weekend by the CDC and the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement. The close relationship between students and faculty is at the heart of the Oxy experience. Research shows that students who have at least one formative relationship with a professor later become the most engaged professionals. Hear some of our great teachers, including Economics Professor Bevin Ashenmiller and her student, Elwyn Pratt ’15 and current UCLA law student, Katelyn Rowe ’13 and her mentor, Politics Professor Thalia Gonzalez discuss their academic research and relationship.

50th Anniversary Occidental Hillel Open House – 1:00 PM. Occidental Hillel would like to invite you to please join us this Saturday, October 25th for an open house in honor of our 50th anniversary in Lower Herrick between 1:00 and 4:00 PM as part of Homecoming Weekend. As we celebrate the last 50 years and look towards the future, we hope to engage and act as a resource for the larger Oxy community. All are welcome, whether you have been involved in our Hillel in the past or are interested in an introduction and learning more about the organization and our role here on campus. considering a career change, managing a career in your 20’s is a challenge. Hear from 3 recent Oxy grads, working in the journalism, finance, and non-profit fields, who will discuss how they landed their first post-Oxy opportunity and what they’ve learned since.

Glee Club Homecoming Concert – 4:00 PM. Come watch the Glee Club share their musical talent! Tickets $15.00 (purchase at the door) – Oxy students free with ID.
