Amanda Muller, ’13

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oswego chapter.

Meet Amanda Muller! What this chick lacks in height she makes up for in wittiness and compassion. This 20-year-old has a lot on her plate, but that hasn’t stopped her from hitting the books and preparing to graduate a year early. Amanda is a sucker for anyone who can drop a one-liner in Japanese, so next time you see this pint size diva shoot her a konnichiwa!

Name: Amanda Muller

Age: 20

Hometown: Deer Park, Long Island

Relationship status: Single

Major: English and Creative Writing

Involvement on campus: I love being a part of Del Sart and Great Lake Review has been perfect for my major.

Hobbies: Obviously dance! Reading, writing and sobbing over anime characters.

Where do you see yourself in five years? Working for a publishing house in NYC.

If you could be stuck on an island with your dream guy who would he be?
Is it bad that all my dream guys are fictional? This is hard, but I would have to say, Edward Elric from Full Medal Alchemist Brotherhood, I’m a sucker for a good anime show.

Biggest pet peeve? I hate it when people are so full of themselves and all they do is talk about what they want and what they have.

Describe yourself in three words: Loyal, caring and creative.

Who are some people in your life that make you the happiest? All of the girls at my dance studio in my home town, they are truly like my family, oh! and I can’t forget about my dog Chester!

Favorite quote: It’s a John Greene quote, something about how it hurt because it mattered, some quotes just stick with you, you know? I’ve been through a lot and knowing that all my pain and hard work was for something that mattered and in the end paid off makes me feel better about where I stand today.

Kaitlin Provost graduated from SUNY Oswego, majoring in journalism with a learning agreement in photography. She grew up in five different towns all over the Northeast, eventually settling and graduating from high school in Hudson, Massachusetts. Kait now lives in the blustery town of Oswego, New York, where she can frequently be found running around like a madwoman, avoiding snow drifts taller than her head (which, incidentally, is not very tall). She has worked for her campus newspaper, The Oswegonian, as the Assistant News Editor, and is also the President of the Oswego chapter of Ed2010, a national organization which helps students break into the magazine industry. She hopes to one day work for National Geographic and travel the world.
