I’ve never actually tried Mary Kay products before, mostly because they aren’t really at a college budget price point. When I found out Mary Kay was one of the sponsors for the Her Campus Survivor Kit, I was thrilled. I’ve heard great things about their products and always wanted to try them out. The Naturally Collection comes with four new products including a purifying cleanser, exfoliating powder, nourishing oil and a moisturizing stick. The products are made with naturally derived ingredients that are gentle, making them perfect for sensitive skin. All products in the Naturally collection are free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances and dyes, and SLS/SLES. The products range from $26 to $48. While I know this is a high price point, especially on a college budget, I can honestly say these are worth the investment if you’re looking splurge on your skincare routine. Also, I can’t forget to mention the beautiful packaging.

Purifying Cleanser

This is the perfect everyday cleanser. It’s super gentle and doesn’t really have a scent. I would highly recommend this product if you have sensitive skin. The formula is great for normal-to-dry skin types, which is why I absolutely loved it on my skin. This cleanser is also free of silicone, mineral oil and alcohol. Use this as the first step in your skincare routine.  For more information on this product, click here.

Exfoliating Powder

This. Product. Is. So. Cool. At first, it’s the consistency of baby powder but when you mix it with water it turns into an exfoliator. According to Mary Kay, “Exfoliating can help unclog pores which can help pores appear smaller. This product prepares skin to receive the next step in your routine.” I love this exfoliator because it isn’t too harsh on your skin as sometimes exfoliators can be. It’s gentle yet effective. You definitely do not need to use it every day. I recommend once or twice a week in place of your regular cleanser. For more information on this product, click here.

Nourishing Oil

This might be my favorite product in the collection. It smells so dang amazing and it leaves my skin feeling like a baby’s butt. It’s light and quick-absorbing. It does not make my skin feel oily at all, which was my biggest concern with this product. Because I have super dry skin, I use it every morning and night as the last step of my skincare routine. If you have combination or oily skin, I’d recommend using it less. You can also add a drop to the exfoliating powder to give your skin some extra love.  For more information on this product, click here.

Moisturizing Stick

This product is great if you have patches of dry skin. I always get super dry skin around my eyes and nose, especially in the winter. You apply this product directly to the dry areas. It kind of reminds me of those kid’s sunscreen sticks. It is super versatile and as one reviewer says, you can even use it on “rough elbows, ragged cuticles, and chapped lips.” I typically use this product on targeted areas before applying the nourishing oil.
