BuckeyeThon Dance Marathon

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

If you haven’t heard of BuckeyeThon at Ohio State, you should definitely register to dance in February. BuckeyeThon is a dance marathon dedicated to helping kids suffering from cancer feel like kids again. For twenty-four hours, you dance to raise money for these children and their families. Last year, Ohio State raised over a million dollars! The event is not only rewarding for the kids, but also the students who participate.

If you are interested in registering to participate in BuckeyeThon, you can sign up online or in person at the Union. Registering does cost $25. If you sign up at the Union you get a free t-shirt for signing up. Just come anytime between 11:00am-6:00pm on Monday the 26th or Tuesday the 27th. You do have to raise a minimum of $250 to dance, but the BuckeyeThon website has tips on fundraising to make raising money easier. BuckeyeThon is an amazing part of Ohio State’s student life, and you won’t regret dancing for the kids!
