The Boots Every Girl Needs This Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

Fall and winter are boot season, and is there a better season? In my opiniom, no there isn’t. I have been known to blow an entire paycheck on a new pair of boots because there is always a new pair that I just have to have.  Boots are a necessity for us girls. And here are the basic pairs that every girl needs to have in her closet.

1.  Brown Riding Boots- they are a requirement of fall. They look good with jeans, leggings, or dresses and skirts. They are comfortable enough to wear all over campus and a fall staple that you will get wear out of year after year.

2.  Rain Boots- I don’t know how anyone doesn’t have rain boots. We have our fair share of rainy days in Ohio and rain is a great way to ruin your shoes. Unless of course you have colorful rubber boots to go splash in puddles with.

3. Combat boots- combat boots have been very popular the last few years and you can wear them through the fall into winter and even spring. Perfect for the days you want to let out your inner hipster or add a little toughness to your look.

4. Snow boots- Whether you love it or hate it the snow is coming. And you will need a sturdy pair of snow boots to wear to those 8 ams when the entire campus is covered in ice yet your professor still didn’t cancel class. And other situations when you want to protect your feet from frostbite.

5. Booties- No one can deny the cuteness of booties! Perfect to wear to parties or any occasion when you need to dress up and wear heals but don’t want your toes to freeze.

6. Uggs- Every girl needs at least one pair for the day after an all-nighter, when getting dress means putting on leggings and a massive sweatshirt. They are comfortable and warm, just don’t try to wear them in the snow- they have terrible traction.

7. Cowboy boots- is there anything more darling than cowboy boots and a sundress? Don’t worry they look great with jeans too. Whether you are going to a country concert or just want to embrace southern culture for a day cowboy boots are the way to go.
