As we creep closer to Halloween, everyone’s looking for some spooky activities. There’s no better way to get in the Halloween spirit than by watching a classic movie (while gorging on candy, of course). In honor of the spookiest day of the year, here are three fantastic films that are a must-see this Halloween season:
- “Halloweentown“
“Halloweentown” is about as classic as Halloween movies get. It’s full of festive costumes, stunning sets and spooky adventures that combine for an purely entertaining experience. This film is wholesome for all ages and won’t kill the Halloween spirit!
- “Hocus Pocus“
This movie is one of my annual Halloween traditions!
The 1993 production is a timeless film that people (including myself!) rewatch every year. The evil witches give the movie a thrill that’s perfect for Halloween while still being appropriate for all ages. A huge aspect of this movie’s popularity is the nostalgia factor. Kids that grew up watching “Hocus Pocus” can now share it with their kids, which is both sweet and weird to think about.
- “Hotel Transylvania“
The most recent of my recommended films, “Hotel Transylvania” is a guaranteed laugh and should not be written off because of its appeal to younger audiences.
It’s an hour and a half of pure entertainment, and you’ll be sure to fall in love with the unique personalities of the characters while getting into the Halloween spirit.
