Yeah you read that right. Recently Disney announced that a TV show based on the High School Musical movies is in the works.
Some of the plot and character descriptions for the show have been released, and SPOILER, the show will not have anything to do with the original characters or plot!
Instead the show will focus on a winter play and a new generation of students. So far, we know a little about the new characters and their possible roles (full descriptions and source can be seen here). For example, between the main characters there is going to be definite love triangle, and maybe a more obvious interest in theater?
From what I can see I personally don’t think I will tune in to the new show. I’m a little too attached (ironically of course ?) to the original movies and characters.
