Why OU? The campus is beautiful and I love the j-school.
Why Journalism? I love to write. I also want to tell peoples’ stories because everybody has one.
Favorite Memory at OU? I have so many. Each year at OU brought new experiences and friends so it’s hard to pinpoint the best one.
Favorite Journalism related class? I really enjoyed column writing. It gave me a chance to do some creative writing.
Did you intern anywhere? Paste Magazine, the Ohio University Press and Perspectives magazine at OU
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I would like to live in a city and be working for a publishing company or writing about the arts.
Favorite memory from HerCampus Ohio U? The party we held during our first year. We all put a lot of work into it and it was a huge success.
What advice do you have for younger journalists trying to make it? Write about what you love. Find magazines, websites, whatever that are tailored to your interests so you can write about subjects that you’re interested in. Also, intern everywhere! It gives you experience you can’t find in the classroom
