It’s that time of the month where I write a monthly favorites article! March has definetly been more stressful than the months in the past, but I am keeping my head held high because school is almost done, Bobcats basically only have three more full weeks!

1. plants

Okay listen, yes I have been obsessed with plants for years, approximately seven years now, but I go through periods of time where I get really exhausted from plants and tend to not take care of them. However, this month I have been super motivated to take care of plants, especially learning about a place on campus that gives out free plants. (Yes I am gatekeeping it because I do not want all of the good plants taken away) Recently I have been obsessed with leafier plants, like philodendrons and pothos!

2. Rare beauty blush in nearly mauve

I love cream blushes, I am definetly the type to prefer more natural looking makeup which means normally I lean more towards cream products. When I saw Selena Gomez come out with a beauty brand a while ago, I was elated! Of course I had to order something so when I saw those cream blushes I was totally geeking out. The shade nearly mauve is perfect for my complexion. This blush is creamy at first touch but feels more powdery while blending in so you get the best of both worlds. It is easily blendable and you can build it up to whatever intensity you want!

3. TJ Maxx

If you have never been to T.J. Maxx, you are seriously missing out. Basically this store sells overstock or products that aren’t selling that well at a cheaper price. You might have of heard about it from the Rae Dunn craze, which I personally don’t enjoy her designs, but that’s just personal preference! I have gotten so many things like home decor, tarot decks, beauty products, frames, and clothes. It is all so much cheaper and you can get good quality high brand things. For example, I was able to score a brand new, never been opened before, First Aid Beauty moisturizer! T.J. Maxx is such a steal especially when shopping for nice gifts for someone or treating yourself!

4. hammocking

March has been a whirlwind of different temperatures but any time it is nice I make an effort to go outside and pitch my hammock. I love reading in the hammock or even just laying there destressing without a worry in the world. Hammocking is pretty popular at Ohio University, so if you come here make sure you bring one!

5. brazilian popular music

About a month ago I had to go to a lecture that was about the popular music of Brazil and let me tell you, I am obsessed. This music has such a wide range but every single Brazilian piece of music I have listened to has been such a hit. Recently I have been really into a subcatergory of Brazilian music called Bossa Nova. Just amazing vibes of something you can relax to our even dance to.

6. Powerful women

Recently I took my exam to be a part of an all womens fraternity called Sigma Alpha Iota. It is a music academic fraternity that focuses on the strength women have and promoting music. By joining this sisterhood, I have felt more connected to my femininity and have created bonds with many people. I finally feel not alone and like a strong powerful woman. It is such a good circle to surround yourself with, we all support each other.

7. Twilight body spray from lush

I have always loved Lush, how they stand for sustainability and donate to charities throughout the world. However, recently I have discovered a new love from their product line: Twilight Body Spray. I have used Sleepy body conditioner in the past which is essentially the Twilight scent (one of Lush’s oldest and most popular scents) but when it came to perfume I always leaned more towards Snow Fairy. Twilight is a lavendar earthy body spray that will last all day long. I have never gotten so many compliments on how I smell until I started using this spray!

8. the cherry blossoms on campus

Now that spring is arriving, the cherry blossoms have been starting to bloom! It has livened up campus and brings a smile to my face. The pink cherry blossoms have not quite bloomed yet but are almost ready to. The white cherry blossoms have bloomed and are absolutely beautiful!

9. natural life headbands

I have been wearing Natural Life headbands for a long time now but recently I have been really obsessed with wearing them to spice up my outfit. They fit the perfect amount of hippie and granola girl together that mixes together to create my style! It has been so hard not to buy tons more because they have come out with so many new styles! I love Boho Bandeaus!

10. Nee-doh stress balls

Because my stress has been so high this semester, I have been needing to use fidgets so I can maintain focus and my newest and favorite fidget I have is a Nee-Doh color changing stress ball. It transform from blue to pink and it is so great for relieving stress. I love the texture on the outside because it is soft and smooth! If you need to try something new to manage your stress, give Nee-Doh a go!
