Long-distance relationships during college have so many challenges. Being in a long-distance relationship myself, one of the things I find most difficult is spending holidays apart from my boyfriend. With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I’m dreading being apart. While we may not be able to see each other in person, we’ve worked together to come up with ideas to make Valentine’s Day as special as it would be if we were together. If you and your long-distance significant other are struggling to celebrate Valentine’s Day, these ideas are sure to make your Valentine’s Day one you’ll never forget.

1. Delivering Food Or Flowers To Your Significant Other

A surprise delivery of something your boyfriend/girlfriend loves will be sure to make their day. Sending them flowers, a delicious treat, or their favorite meal is a great way to show just how much they mean to you.

2. Play a game together

Gaming is one of the easiest dates that can be done online, so it’s perfect for a long-distance Valentine’s Day celebration.

3. Write a letter

Another surprise your significant other will love is a handwritten letter from you. This simple and affordable gift is not only great for Valentine’s Day but is also a keepsake they’ll cherish forever.

4. Watch a movie or show together

I love movie dates, but watching movies/shows long distance can be a struggle. However, apps like Prime Video Watch Party, Rave, and Teleparty allow you and your boyfriend/girlfriend to watch movies together, even with the distance.

While long distance isn’t always ideal, there are still so many ways you can celebrate your love and create memories that you’ll remember forever.
