What makes you this week’s celeb?
“I was invited to join Tau Beta Pi, an honors society for all disciplines of engineering in the Russ College; it’s not associated with Greek life. Normally, it is awarded to the top 8% of juniors and top 8% of seniors, but as sophomore with junior credit I’m qualified.”
When will you officially become a member of Tau Beta Pi?
“Officially, I will be inducted on November 13th.”
What will you do as a member of this organization?
“We’ll present study sessions for underclassmen, Adopt Mound Street to clean up litter, and provide professional development and networking for all members.”
Why did you choose Chemical Engineering?
“I’m a problem solver and I like science and I like math. It’s also a growing field without a lot of women. That’s not why I chose it, but it’s a fact.”
Why did you choose Ohio U?
“How could you not? It’s beautiful and has a good engineering program. Ultimately, I fell in love with the campus.”
Anything else you’d like to add?
“My favorite color is purple and I’ve been a vegetarian for 2 ½ years!”
