Tourist in the City: (The Lower East Side of) Central Park

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NYU chapter.

Why it’s worth a visit: Although I took this picture last fall, the water in Central Park looks amazing any time of year. I was there during our one brief moment of snow as well, and it was also beautiful as it lay there barley frozen. While you may get to see that picture in a future Tourist In The City, for now I’m enjoying looking at the fall foliage in this picture and wishing it wasn’t 45 with a wind chill of three outside. Regardless of the weather, if you get a chance this week, I recommend wandering around Central Park and remembering what nature feels like, even if the NYC skyline isn’t too far on the horizon.
