A new platform that is on the rise in social media is podcasts. At this point, it seems like everyone and their mother owns a podcast, and it takes a while before you find a podcast that works for you. In this time of self-isolation, podcasts are a fun way to keep your brain active while relaxing. I like to listen to podcasts when I’m in the bath or even in my bed chilling. If you have just jumped on the podcast bandwagon and don’t know where to start, I have compiled a list of my favorite podcasts perfect for some girl time with yourself!

1. I’m Into it With Keaton Milburn

I’m Into it With Keaton Milburn is a new podcast started by YouTube star Keaton Milburn. In her podcasts, Milburn speaks of the topics she is into, such as healthy relationships and the things that she is not so interested in, like self-doubt and jealousy. As it is a new podcast, there are a few episodes, which is a good thing because it means that you can follow Milburn from the beginning of her journey. I have been watching Milburn on YouTube for years now and love to see her daily vlogs, clothing hauls, tips for organization, and even healthy habits. Her podcasts are entertaining, and Milburn is sincere throughout the entirety of them. I highly recommend listening to Milburn’s podcast if you want to feel as though you are talking to a close friend.

2. Girl Boss Radio

If you are a woman in hopes of starting a business one day, then I highly recommend you check out Girl Boss Radio hosted by Sophia Amoruso. Girl Boss Radio podcasts usually consist of an interview with female CEOs such as Anastasia from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Emma Grede – CEO of Good American, Mia Khalifa – former adult film actress, Emily Weiss – CEO of Glossier, and Christine Day- former Lululemon CEO. This podcast is super informative on where to start with a successful business and the various things to be prepared for when entering the industry. As a hopeful entrepreneur myself, I love listening to Girl Boss Radio because it motivates me to follow my dreams and makes me feel as though I am not clueless in the field. It is like having many different female business mentors on your cell phone!

3. Girl Gang

A very similar podcast to Girl Boss Radio is the Girl Gang podcast hosted by Amy Will. Girl Gang interviews successful women and gives tips on success for the listeners. Will has featured women such as Caroline D’Amore – CEO of Pizza Girl Inc., Kristin Corpuz – a freelance writer, and Tara Schuster – author of Buy Yourself The Fuckin Lilies. I like the Girl Gang podcast because Will interviews women who are triumphant in a variety of different fields. There is something for everybody in this podcast, and I strongly suggest that you give it a listen.

4. Vogue Style Revolution

If you would like to go into the fashion industry but continuously find yourself confusing designers and failing to know the top creative directors, I suggest that you listen to the Vogue Style Revolution. This podcast interviews the highest in fashion, such as Tom Ford, Anna Wintour, Michael Kors, and Marc Jacobs. Each podcast is only about fifteen minutes and jam-packed information about today’s A-list celebrities. My personal favorite was the Kendall Jenner interview, which was released shortly after her 2016 Vogue cover. I love this podcast, and I have learned so much about the field I hope to work in one day.

5. Naked Beauty

Last, but certainly not least, a podcast that is full of beauty tips, tricks, and even interviews is Naked Beauty hosted by Brooke DeVard Ozaydinli. Brooke has had guests such as Vogue’s Akili King and CEO of Beauty Stack, Sharmadean Reid. I love this podcast because my favorite thing in the world is beauty and fashion, and no one discusses it better than Ozaydinli. I have learned about products, different types of skin and hair, what to eat for glowing skin, and so much more from this podcast. I can easily say that this is one of my favorite podcasts of all time and look forward to every new episode.

I am excited to write for Her Campus so that I can teach and share everything I know when it comes to these things I am passionate about.
