Want to know the best part of the fall season? It’s all of the fall-themed desserts!
I love the warm mix of spices and flavors that scream fall, like cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin, and all the other warm spices. Was tasting a ton of yummy looking treats a big reason why I chose to write this article? You bet! Here are some of my favorite fall treats on campus or near Washington Square Park.
Starbucks Sugarplum Cheese Danish
Starbucks unveiled this yummy treat last holiday season, and boy am I glad. I love cheese danishes, and the sweetness from the sugarplum is a perfect match. Grab one on your way to class at any Starbucks location. I prefer the Starbucks on campus best!
Do Confections Pumpkin Brownie Batter
For those of you who don’t know me, I love brownies. Seeing DŌ with their pumpkin brownie batter was such a treat. First of all, it tastes fantastic as pumpkin and chocolate are a match made in heaven. Is there a better way to this combination than in cookie dough form? Get it soon, and the best part is that they have a student discount!
Sweets By Chloe Cinnamon Spice Donut
Part of why I love the fall season so much is the association between the season and the spice. Cinnamon is one of my favorite spices all year round. This donut is the perfect blend of cinnamon in a tasty donut. What is great about it is it’s also vegan so that most people can enjoy this fall treat.
Insomnia Cookies Snickerdoodle Cookie
Any NYU student knows about Insomnia Cookies. It’s basically a staple in the NYU student’s diet. Snickerdoodle is one of my favorite flavors in the fall and holiday season. I always get such warm vibes from eating Snickerdoodes, especially from Insomnia Cookies. Grab some of these warm cookies at the Insomnia Cookies store on MacDougal Street!
Peacefood Bakery Pumpkin Pecan Muffin
Now, this is a fun treat for anyone who is vegan or not. I love the pumpkin to pecan ratio here, and it’s a great quick treat if you are stopping by. Also, the bakery items are half off after 8 pm, so get an evening treat at the end of a long school day. Treat yourself!
Price: $3.28; $1.64 (after 8 pm)
There you have it, folks! Now go out there and treat yourself this fall! Some of these treats won’t be around for much longer. Grab them before they disappear!
