Meet The Team: Charlotte Robinson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

My name is Charlotte and I’m head of reviews for Her Campus Nottingham. I hope you enjoy getting to know me a bit better!

How would you describe yourself?

I’d say I’m quite a bubbly and happy person. I take a bit of time to show people that side to me but once I get to know them, they see the true me. I’m a very family orientated person and my family play a big part in my life. Music and photography are two of my biggest passions. I am a chatterbox, I can have a conversation with anyone and everyone about pretty much everything.

What is your favourite thing about uni?

I’d have to say my friends. It may be cliché, but it is true. Your friends at uni become like your family away from home. University gives you the chance to meet people you may never have had the chance to meet otherwise.

What is your favourite summer experience?

I’d have to say NDCP 2017. I went to Cyprus for three weeks with Cypriot organisation Nepomak. It was the most incredible experience. I learnt so much about my grandparents’ homeland and I also improved my language skills. I met amazing people and I now have friends all around the world.

When did your passion for writing begin?

Probably at quite a young age if I’m honest. When I was in primary school, I used to love making up characters and writing little stories about them. As I’ve grown older, I’d say my writing is a lot better… As well as writing for Her Campus, I run two blogs of my own, one focused on music and upcoming artists and the other focused on thoughts and feelings that hopefully a lot of people can relate to.

What is your favourite thing about Nottingham?

I love the music scene in Nottingham. The Bodega is my favourite venue. I have met so many cool bands from Nottingham and I love seeing them live. Live music is a huge part of my Nottingham life and I really will miss it when I graduate.

What would you like to do when you graduate?

I would love to be a music journalist, I spend a lot of my time interviewing and reviewing bands and singers and I love it. A lot of people I have met, deserve so much more recognition so working with up and coming artists is something I would really enjoy. I definitely want to head down the journalism/media route as that’s what I am really passionate about.

19. History Undergraduate at UoN. Lover of live music.

I'm a third year English student at University of Nottingham and when I'm not working or writing, I'm probably watching a Disney movie or listening to one of their soundtracks! I'm a Campus Correspondent for HC Nottingham and generally write about food, travel, and the food I've experienced on my travels!
