Campus Style: Roaring in Red

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

Name: Evie Deighan

Year: 1

Course: English

Bringing a bright ray of colour to these autumn days we have first year Evie. I saw the bold red from a good distance and knew I had to investigate and I’m glad I did! This Urban Outfitters dress is a unique one with its leopard prints on a red background but it works! Teamed up with a black Topshop fur lined coat (still on sale in store if you’re seeing and you’re liking) and black Nike trainers, Evie knows what she wants the focus of this outfit to be. Winter 2013 is proving very popular on the trainer scene with sports shoes becoming a must have in any shoe cupboard. With all these campus hills I can personally say they are a life saver. Who said fashionable couldn’t be practical?

Evie’s Advice- Although wearing all branded today, Evie advises ‘don’t always go for high street’. This is usually the easy option: convenient shops in the middle of town, nice clothes, affordable prices. But what if you could get all this elsewhere? Such as Ebay? Second hand shops? Charity shops? There’s plenty out there so don’t be afraid to pay a little bit less for a little bit more!

Sheetal studied History at the University of Nottingham and was Campus Correspondent during her final year, before graduating in July 2014. She is currently jumping between jobs, whilst still writing for HC in her spare time. She may or may not be some of these things: foodie, book addict, world traveller (crazy dreamer!), lover of cheese, Australian immigrant, self-proclaimed photographer, wannabe dancer, tree hugger, lipstick ruiner, curly-haired and curious. She hopes for world peace and dreams that someday, cake will not make you fat.
