Campus Style: Cute ‘n’ Quirky

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

Name: Rosie Beaver

Year: First

Course: French and Spanish

Spotted: Cavendish Halls

Cold and wet outside it may be but Rosie isn’t afraid of a pair of shorts in this weather! And boy does she know how to pull off the laid back grunge with her mum’s deep velvet blouse, Topshop cut out shorts and H&M biker style boots. Complete with a messy bun (nothing to do with a hangover obviously…) Rosie really rules this quirky look! If you haven’t, I strongly advise having a good little journey into the back of your mums wardrobe, because I’m sure you’re bound to find a hidden gem from the 80’s or 90’s perfect for recycling.

Rosies advice- ‘Don’t be afraid to try something new’. Just like Rosie did with her leather boots, admitting they were slightly out of her comfort zone but she’s giving them a go and don’t they look great!

Sheetal studied History at the University of Nottingham and was Campus Correspondent during her final year, before graduating in July 2014. She is currently jumping between jobs, whilst still writing for HC in her spare time. She may or may not be some of these things: foodie, book addict, world traveller (crazy dreamer!), lover of cheese, Australian immigrant, self-proclaimed photographer, wannabe dancer, tree hugger, lipstick ruiner, curly-haired and curious. She hopes for world peace and dreams that someday, cake will not make you fat.
