5 British Beauty Instagram Accounts you NEED to follow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

So you’ve opened Instagram to have a quick scroll of your feed and, one hour later, you find yourself on the ‘explore’ page obsessively watching sped-up videos from MUAs applying some pretty crazy eyeshadows. We’ve all been there. Why is it so satisfying watching someone paint their face with make-up?! There are some pretty big beauty accounts ruling Instagram at the moment. American make-up gurus like Jacyln Hill and Hrush Achemyan, the Kardashian’s make-up artist, get a lot of love, but what about the smaller names putting the UK on the beauty map? We had a trawl through Instagram to seek them out.

@kate.lavie

Scottish blogger and YouTuber, Kate, can make any beauty products look divine with her impressive flat-lay shots. Her account is a wash of dusky pink, displaying her love for make-up as well as interiors, good food and fashion.

@theannaedit

Anna describes herself as “a twenty-something Brighton-dweller with a love for lipstick, Lycra and leaf-print homewares.” You can rely on her to introduce you to exciting new releases in the British beauty world (especially lip products).

@mypaleskinblog

Em Ford is the queen of make-up tutorials and encourages us all to embrace our naked faces and our imperfections, as well as enjoying beauty products to enhance our natural beauty. She is not afraid to experiment with her looks and is certainly one to watch in the British blogging sphere.

@fleurdeforce

Big name on YouTube, Fleur De Force, knows her stuff when it comes to luxury beauty products.  But the recent release of her brow products with Eyelure, in addition to her well-established range of lashes with the brand, makes her beauty vision accessible (and affordable) to us all.

@gracefvictory

UK lifestyle blogger, Gracie, labels herself “the Internet’s big sister’” and she’s not wrong. Preaching body confidence, Gracie regularly posts photos that remind us that beauty isn’t just about the latest products you can use on your skin; it’s about learning to love your natural features and who you are as a person.
