Fall is finally upon us, which means the return of the infamous pumpkin spice latte, knee-high boots, and scarves galore. The turn of the season also means tons of new music releases, so I’ve compiled some of this fall’s most anticipated albums.

25 by Adele

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been anxiously awaiting this British songstress’s newest album since the day 21 dropped. Since 2011, Adele has collaborated with many other artists, and rumor has it that 25 might include tracks featuring Danger Mouse and Tobias Jesso Jr. The album isn’t set to release until November 20th, and unfortunately there are no released singles to listen to in the interim. The good news is that there are several other amazing albums you can check out until then!

Pagans in Vegas by Metric

If you’re a fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs or the Silversun Pickups, then Metric is for you. This Canadian band released their newest effort, Pagans in Vegas, on September 18th. You may have heard their single called “The Shade,” which was released in early summer. Pagans is reminiscent of ‘80s synth pop, and will be Metric’s fifth album.

We Were Here by BOY

There aren’t enough words to describe my love for BOY. Despite the moniker, BOY is a two-woman Swiss-German group consisting of Valeska Steiner and Sonja Glass. We Were Here is their second (and a half) album, following 2013’s Mutual Friends. You probably know their hit song “Seven Little Numbers,” but the women of BOY have incredible musical talents best showcased in the Mutual Friends Acoustic album. Check out We Were Here for more catchy, melodic tunes from two incredible musicians.

Caracal by Disclosure

Howard and Guy Lawrence, a pair of brothers better known as Disclosure, have just rolled out Caracal as their second full-length album. They burst onto the dance-pop scene in 2012 with their song “Latch,” and have churned out several other infectious tunes since. However, dance music seems to be a thing of the past for this duo. Caracal is a wild card, and listeners are in for a very new sound.

V by Wavves

Wavves’ newest release is the perfect seasonal transition soundtrack. While it won’t be officially released until October 2, it is streaming on several websites already. The combination of up-tempo beats, dreamy background vocals, and quirky lyrics is a winning one.

Whether you’re strolling through campus in your fave ND sweatshirt, drinking coffee while watching the leaves turn, or just hanging out with friends, these artists have your playlist covered. Enjoy!
