No-Bake Holiday Desserts

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northwestern chapter.

Easy Holiday Recipes

Happy December! With the holiday season officially in full swing, holiday parties, dessert exchanges, and late-night cookie binges are abundant. If you’re called on to whip up a festive dessert, we’ve got you covered. Not only that, we’ve compiled the easiest, no-bake, no-cook concoctions out there.

Coffee Fluff

Coffee, sugar, whipped cream, and shaved chocolate. That’s essentially what this dessert is. Its rich, fluffy texture will make everyone think you toiled over it, but in reality an 8-year-old could be trusted to make this. Plus, it’s something different than the classic holiday cookie or brownie. Make it: Recipe!

Peppermint Chocolate Wafers

This really could not be easier. Start with store-bought chocolate wafers, store-bought icing, and store-bought candy canes, and throw it all together to make a heavenly cookie sandwich that no one can resist. If you want an extra kick of peppermint, stir peppermint extract into the frosting before adding the candy cane pieces. Make it: Recipe!

Microwave Fudge

All hail the microwave. Fudge can be time-consuming if you’re using the stove, but this recipe only requires you to microwave the ingredients for a manageable two minutes. And by chilling it in the freezer, it’s ready to serve in 10 minutes. Added bonus: if you show up to a holiday party with fudge, you’re instantly the most popular girl there. That’s a scientific fact. Make it: Recipe!

Oreo Icebox Cake

With only five ingredients, this cake is God’s gift to the baking impaired. Make sure to plan ahead for this one. The cake has to chill overnight or for at least eight hours. The end results are entirely worth the wait though. It tastes like a giant, creamy Oreo cookie. Make it: Recipe!

And just in case you want some hot chocolate to go with your desserts (you do), here’s an ultra-rich, ultra-decadent recipe. This stuff warms your heart faster than a cuddle session with Ryan Gosling. Okay, not quite, but almost. Yummy hot cocoa.
