It’s tailgating season! That means friends, football, and fashion. But really, aren’t you tired of the same old, same old? Here are some clothing items to spice up your tailgates…

Bucket Hats

Baseball caps are a classic, but everyone’s hat is technically the same, a big “N” in purple or white. You know what most people don’t have? A Northwestern bucket hat. Sun protection, check. Style, check. Glances of envy, check.

Patterned Leggings

The morning of a tailgate you either throw on a cute pair of shorts or some purple leggings. Not anymore. Find your inner Willie-Willie the Wildcat and go for some pattern! The cat-like design will definitely take your tailgate attire to new heights.

Overalls

Sick of pants? The feeling is mutual. Slide into a crisp pair of overalls. Not only will you be super comfortable, but you will also look super chic. Anyone bold enough to pull off the overall look can do no wrong. So grab a pair of those purple and white striped overalls and catwalk to the tailgate!

Skirt

Many girls wear tutus to tailgates. But, let’s face it, tutus are itchy, uncomfortable and for 6-year-olds. Instead, dance, laugh and snapchat in something more appropriate for your age. Plus, this skirt’s vertical lines are oh so slimming.

Scrunchie

A purple scrunchie is a staple at any tailgate. It looks cute on your wrist and in your hair. Taking the scrunchie one step further leads to this awesome hair bow. This one is purple and white with a tiny football in the middle. What’s better than a miniature football? Okay, well a miniature dog is better…
