Tis the Season for Pumpkin

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northeastern chapter.
Now that it finally feels like Fall, it’s time to get in the spirit—and nothing shouts Fall like pumpkins! Here are a few fabulous pumpkin treats that you should (trick or) treat yourself to:

1. Pumpkin Cheesecake – The Cheesecake Factory
Nearest location: 115 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02119

It’s not quite time to start making pumpkin pies, but until Thanksgiving, you can indulge in The Cheesecake Factory’s pumpkin cheesecake. It will satisfy any pumpkin-related craving you have!

2. Pumpkin Spice Frozen Yogurt – Red Mango (Around $4-$5)
Nearest location: 334 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115

Delicious, low-calorie frozen yogurt is always a great choice, and pumpkin spice is no exception! Top with chocolate chips, graham crackers and caramel sauce for a sweet and (relatively) healthy treat!

3. Pumpkin Spice Latte – Starbucks (Around $3 for a grande)
Nearest location: AfterHours, right on Northeastern’s campus!

Everyone seems to be raving about the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, so I had to try it myself – definitely worth all of the hype! If you’re feeling chilly, go grab one and taste it for yourself! Dunkin Donuts also has a tasty pumpkin coffee flavor. And, believe it or not, the pumpkin spice coffee served in the International Village dining hall is not half bad!

4. Pumpkin Muffins and Donuts – Dunkin Donuts (Around .80 cents for a donut and $1.50 for a muffin)
Nearest location: Shillman Hall, Hayden Hall, Ruggles (All at NU!)

Along with their pumpkin coffee, Dunkin Donuts is also selling pumpkin muffins and donuts! If you’re in the mood for a yummy, pumpkin-filled breakfast, Dunkin Donuts is the place to go! Interested in making your own delicious pumpkin muffins with cream cheese filling? Try this easy and delicious recipe.

5. Harvest Pumpkin Ale – Sam Adams (Around $10 for a 6-pack)
Nearest location: 301 Huntingtong Ave, Boston, MA 02115

For all of you Collegiettes who are 21+, try this Harvest Pumpkin Ale! I can’t speak to its deliciousness, but why not get a little festive while out with your friends?

6. Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses
Nearest Location: CVS, 231 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115

This is certainly an interesting alternative to your typical chocolate Hershey Kiss! While shopping through the discounted Halloween candy, vary it up and buy some pumpkin spice Hersey Kisses – you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

7. Pumpkin Pie Shake – Sonic (Around $4)
Nearest location: 55 Newbury St, Peabody, MA 01960

If you feel like making the trek to the nearest Sonic, definitely try this pumpkin pie shake! As the slogan says, we should all “drink more pie”!

The list of delicious pumpkin treats goes on and on. Let’s be honest, pretty much any pumpkin flavored thing is pretty tasty! What’s your favorite pumpkin treat? Comment and let us know!
