Name: Kira Schubot

Major(s): Music Industry major, Music Performance minor

Hometown: Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

How did you become involved with music?

I’ve been a classical pianist for the past nineteen years. I felt that music was a good career path to follow because I’d been around it for so long.

What made you want to pursue a career in this field?

At first it was just a random thought. After starting the classes, I became fully invested in the major. It became a true passion of mine about two years ago.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve done for your major or on co-op so far?

I was accepted to perform the first movement of a concerto with the Northeastern Symphony Orchestra. The performance will be at the end of the semester, but it’s the first time in awhile that a solo student has performed with NUSO.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself as either a Music Publisher in LA, or being very close to finishing a law degree in Entertainment Law. Still out in LA either way!
