I am sure most of us would agree: there is nothing more thrilling than an enemies to lovers trope…or is there? I would argue that there is an unmatched element of excitement (and sometimes heartbreak) that comes along with falling for your friend. It usually goes one of two ways: they feel the same, and you live happily ever after, or the less fun, painful possibility is that they don’t feel the same way.

Oftentimes we see a third option, the most heart-wrenching of all, where you are so afraid that you will end up losing them that you choose to not say anything because you’d rather be their friend than not have them in your life at all. The side effects of this option include yearning, pining, jealousy (and probably crying).

If you find yourself in this stage, I have the playlist for you! This friends to lovers playlist is composed of songs that exactly describe all of the feelings one might have if they want to be more than friends (which funny enough, is also the title of this playlist). I hope you enjoy!
