This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NMSU chapter.

The Associated Students of New Mexico State University is our campus’s student government, and while they provide various useful services for students, not many students know about them. Since every student pays a fee that goes toward the ASNMSU fund to help us with these services, the most plausible thing to do would be to utilize the services provided for us. Listed below, are a few of all the services offered by ASNMSU and how to use them.

Pete’s Pass

Pete’s Passes are one of the most important things provided to students. The pass is your key to all the wonderful things your student government provides, and they come at  no cost. With a Pete’s Pass  you can get discounts, free scantrons and free transportation both inside and outside the university. In order to obtain a Pete’s Pass, you can either go to the ID Services and ask for it or go to the ASNMSU office, which is located on the second floor of the Aggie Lounge.

Free Scantrons

There’s no need to waste your money on scantrons when you can  grab your free scantron at the ASNMSU office. In order to obtain your scantron, you will need a Pete’s Pass. You can only get one scantron per visit, so either pick one up before an exam or stock up before mid-terms and finals.

A$ Discount Program

Being a student has some great rewards like obtaining discounts for different stores. All you need to do is present your Pete’s Pass to any of the participating stores shared below. So, if you ever have a study crave or a you just want new hoodie from the bookstore to show your school spirit, be sure to utilize the discount program.
