Five Ways to Update your Wardrobe this Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New Haven chapter.

It’s finally hit that time of year! This fall season, try to mix it up with a couple different looks, which you can stay chic and cozy in.

1. Rock Leather

Wanna look cool and also be warm? You should definitely try rocking this pretty badass look! Leather is very versatile and can be paired with almost anything. Whether you wanna mix up this look, or with Uggs, Heels, Combat Boots, it’s gonna look good either way.

2. Suede

Suede looks so good with so many pieces, and there’s so many cool ways to incorporate it with your everyday look, whether you having a lazy day and just wanna throw on a cardigan, or maybe you wanna go preppy you can rock some canvas shoes and a cute crop top. The possibilities are endless!

3. Slides

But it may have something to do with the celebrities taking such a fashionable risk and making such a simple item so chic. So keep in mind if you have a pair of Adidas or Nike slides, try to mix it up with a simple dress or dress pants. Just have fun with it.

4. Satin

Now, I would like to bring up lingerie and satin wear, which have now been incorporated into our wardrobe, like wearing a slip or a satin cami is such a chic look right now, and it can literally be paired with anything like a plain white t-shirt and a cami or a graphic tee. The same goes for wearing a slip dress, but of course you can just wear the slip as is, but is is a risque move, so you can rock a long sleeve plain tee or a t- shirt, but I would definitely recommend trying this look out this season.

5. Knee High Boots

Last but not least, this trend has been around for some time, but it just keeps getting better. There’s so many different styles to try like suede, velvet, and leather, and they make you look so chic and taller! You can literally pair this with any outfit as shown above and they’re perfect for going out or running errands in style. Once again, the possibilities with this style are endless.

Just have fun this season! Try something new, get inspired with some of these bomb looks, and stay warm and comfy, but remember to look chic while doing so.
