Sometimes it can be difficult to decide what show to watch next, so here are some of my recommendations.

1. the last of us

Taking place in a post-pandemic world caused by a mass fungal infection, The Last of Us follows Joel and Ellie, two strangers brought together who must rely on each other in their hopes to survive the horrific journey across what remains of the United States.

2. the white lotus

The White Lotus is a social satire that follows certain people staying at a fictional well-rated hotel and shows how even when everything seems perfect, tragedy can and will occur. This show is extremely funny and addicting, and it keeps watchers unable to guess what will happen next, making the unexpected very expected until the very end.

3. house of the dragon

I would put Game of Thrones on this list, but that series finished a while ago so instead I put this new series on here, which is actually a prequel to Game of Thrones. Taking place about 200 years before GOT, House of the Dragon follows the Targaryen dynasty when it was at the height of its power. The show starts off with King Viserys I and the events that take place after he names his daughter, Rhaenyra, heir, as she is the first woman to ever take that title.

4. bridgerton

I have watched both seasons of this show too many times, and I cannot wait for the third season to come out. The seasons follow the Bridgerton children as they are being put into Regency London’s extremely competitive marriage market. However, the show reveals that love usually occurs with the most unexpected person.

5. squid Game

This series follows 456 contestants whom are all in deep financial trouble as they risk their lives to take part in several deadly children’s games in order to win a $35 million prize. The story shows the monsters that some people become when pushed into a fight for money, and it also shows the kindness of others when they have nothing left to lose.

6. Shadow and bone

Based on the Shadow and Bone book series, the show takes place in a Russia-inspired Ravka as it follows the story of Alina Starkov, who discovers that she alone has the power to save everyone. While she is still trying to find out who she really is, Alina must find out who her true friends are and differentiate those from others that just want her power. This is an exciting series, and it includes several characters that watchers can relate to as they all struggle to choose between what is easy and what is right for the people as a whole.

7. you

This series follows Joe Goldberg, a seductively charming yet dangerously obsessive man who becomes transfixed with several women throughout the series. Watching the show makes viewers understand how easy it is for people like Joe to work their way into people’s lives, as we listen into Joe’s thoughts and see how easy it is to trust a person like that. It makes it easy to be conflicted with this show, as we see how creepy and uncomfortable some of Joe’s thoughts and actions are, but we also see his emotions that make us like him and even want him to succeed sometimes.

8. The walking dead

The series begins with Rick Grimes as he is shot in combat and wakes up from a coma to a zombie apocalypse. He then meets a group of people, later becoming their leader. The show follows survivors of the apocalypse as they try to stay alive with the constant threat of attacks by the zombies, which are known as “walkers”.

9. money heist

This Spanish heist drama follows two heists that have been long-awaited and are being led by the Professor. One is on the Royal Mint of Spain while the other is on the Bank of Spain. The Professor specifically recruits the robbers due to the fact that none of them has anything to lose. Not only is this series extremely exciting and fast paced, but it also has some very likable characters, making it very easy to not want to stop watching.

10. survivor

Although this is a reality show, it is too addicting to not be on this list. Each season features a new group of contestants who are put into tribes in an isolated location. From there they must use basic survival skills and work with teammates as they compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. Some seasons are better than others, and some of the best people from seasons show up again for future seasons. I love this show, and the 28th season of Survivor (Cagayan) will always be my favorite.
