This may be the silliest and most ridiculous article I have ever written, but I thought it would be funny to look back on. For probably a decade, I have been a self-described “edit girl.” If I like a celebrity, tv show, movie, etc., chances are there is an edit somewhere on my phone that I have saved. I find edits pretty cool, while many find them cringy or corny. My friends and I joke that there is “nothing better than a good edit.” I think they are a quick and fun thing to watch related to things you like, so why not indulge? There are edits for pretty much anything you could think of, with tens of thousands of editors on TikTok posting them. Editing started on YouTube, moved to Vine, then moved to Instagram and Twitter, and now has found a home in TikTok. I thought it would be funny to post links to my favorite TikTok edits so I can “spread the wealth.”

When I said that there are edits of everything…this is precisely what I meant. I love the Real Housewives, and Kim Richards from the Beverly Hills franchise is one of my favorites so when this came up on my FYP, I died laughing.

After Queen Elizabeth II passed away in September 2022 and Prince Charles became King, my FYP was inundated with edits of the late Princess Diana, who I love, and this one just made me laugh.

I went through an obsessive Hunger Games phase in middle school (who didn’t?), so of course, I had to have a Katniss edit in here somewhere.

I am a massively huge Taylor Swift fan, so obviously, she is making an appearance.

In the past year, there has been a surge of Christian Bale edits all over my social media, which is good for me since he is one of my favorite actors.

After seeing Elvis five times in theaters this past summer, I had an Austin Butler kick, and my entire TikTok was full of videos dedicated to him. So this is for everyone that doesn’t get the attraction because I really don’t understand how someone couldn’t.

I am an OG Timothée Chalamet girlie at heart so this video made me laugh as it starts with all of the cringy childhood videos people have found of him online.

This is the edit that kickstarted everyone’s Timothée Chalamet obsession (not mine however, I had been a fan for almost three years at the time that this edit was posted), and kickstarted him into A-list status among Gen Z.

As I said, there are edits of everything, even actors that died almost 70 years ago. I love Old Hollywood movies, so naturally, I would enjoy edits of these movies.

One of my all-time favorite movies is Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood, and this edit captures the essence of the movie in just a few short seconds.

Jacob Elordi, in my opinion, is one of the biggest up-and-coming actors in Hollywood, but shockingly does not have a big fanbase on TikTok, so whenever I see an edit of his I have to save it.

I mean, my two favorite celebrities are Timothée Chalamet and Harry Styles so this edit was bound to be on this list.

Harry Harry Harry…he probably has the biggest TikTok fanbase on this list as I literally cannot go a day on TikTok without seeing an edit of him.

If you’ve ever seen the Easter movie Hop, starring James Marsden, then I hope you enjoy this edit that my roommate and I have probably watched over 100 times (I’m not even kidding either unfortunately)

Young Matthew McConaughey in his audition tape for Dazed and Confused is truly a different breed. I could only wish that this tape was in HD quality.

As I said, I was a huge Hunger Games fan, but I was not on Team Peeta or Team Gale, I was always on Team Finnick because I mean, look at him.

Unfortunately, I did fall victim to all of the Rafe Cameron from Outer Banks edits that came out when Season 2 premiered in 2021 and it just got worse when he got his buzzcut in season 3.

Blake Lively is one of the best-dressed celebrities in Hollywood currently (dare I say all time?), and her 2022 Met Gala dress was the best outfit of the whole year.

Another fashion icon in Hollywood is Zendaya, who rarely misses when it comes to nailing the red carpet.

It has been a long time since I was as excited as I am for a movie as I am for the Barbie movie slated to release in July. This edit got me so excited for the movie AND it’s to “Bejeweled” by Taylor Swift, which makes it even better.

There have already been a few edits to “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” by Beyoncé on this list because I am convinced that you could make anyone look good simply by putting this song over any picture of them, and this edit of Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You is no exception.

One Tree Hill is one of my favorite TV shows and the fact that both Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty are in it AND look the way that they do is what makes this edit for me.

I recently watched Almost Famous starring Kate Hudson and Billy Crudup and was instantly drawn to Crudup’s character Russell Hammond, and by complete coincidence this edit popped up on my FYP days after watching, even though it was posted a year and a half ago.

Overall, TikTok edits are a fun way to watch things related to things that you love while also being a relaxing way to pass the time if you are bored, so I hope you enjoyed this mildly ridiculous article about my favorite TikTok edits.
