Ladies, a new segment has been born! Let the Earth rejoice! As I plan for this to be an occasional/holiday topic, what more of an occasion could we begin with than the re-release of Taylor Swift’s third album, RED? With this special segment, I will provide a list of locations that I see best fit for the album’s aesthetic to travel to. Let’s get into it!

  • 1. Asheville, North Carolina

There’s nothing like walking through Asheville, North Carolina during its fall season. With its culture of art rooted downtown, nothing compares to a main character moment as you’re in the mountainous region walking with the leaves falling on the sidewalk. Pop over to the famed Biltmore Estate and put on “Starlight (Taylor’s Version).” Envision yourself attending the most extravagant ball with its embellished and historic architecture without having to sit and wait on a deadbeat (Jake Gyllenhaal, I’m looking at you).

  • 2. Boone, North Carolina

Travel northeast from our first location and you’ll end up at another well-known town for its history of the explorer that the town is named after, Daniel Boone. Beautifully located along the Blue Ridge Mountains, Boone holds picturesque hiking trails while keeping with the times of lively downtown. I wouldn’t blame you if you head into one of its many taverns while you’re listening to “Girl at Home (Taylor’s Version).”

  • 3. Wilmington, North Carolina

For a change of setting, songs like “Message in a Bottle (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” and “The Very First Night (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” give an upbeat and lively pitch to the album itself. For me, these give off the sound like a night out on the town during the last summer of freedom down at the coast. Downtown Wilmington always has something to offer whether that be a great restaurant, a carriage ride, or a bar trolley to make for a night to remember! If those don’t take the cake for you, have a dance party at one of the local beaches such as Topsail Island or Wrightsville Beach.

Aside her academic achievements, don't assume that Mary Lee is your typical southern belle who frequents to Starbucks a little too often. Mary Lee is also an actress and model under NYMMG based in New York City, NY. Behind her (sometimes) thicker than a Snicker southern accent stands numerous magazine features and some short film appearances. For her pastime Mary Lee thrills in traveling, doing yoga, having karaoke sessions in her car Codi, and playing with her sassy cat Amber.
