Causing Controversy…One Passerby at a Time

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NCSU chapter.

This poster turns heads as people make double takes when they get a glimpse of that bright red word and the off-putting phone number beneath it staring back at them. After the initial shock and confusion of this questionable poster, some have dared to dial those teasing digits. On the other end of the line: a recording of a couple of teenage guys telling you to “press one if…” or “press two if…” in attempt to send you on the path to figure out why you may still be a virgin, and how to “fix this problem.” No worries, it is only a crafty method of advertisement for a Will Ferrell endorsed movie, “The Virginity Hit,” coming out September 10th 2010.
