10 Shows to Watch or Rewatch over this break!

So it’s finally break, and you’re back home away from all your college friends. You finally have time to do things again now that finals are finished, and you are looking for something that is not going to be stressful during this time of relaxation. While pull up your streaming platforms, because I have some show recommendations for you to watch or rewatch. While you wait to reunite with your college besties. 

  • My Life With The Walter Boys (Netflix)

Recently released on Netflix and just given the green light for a season two. This is a great show to choose if you are looking for a new small town show to watch that has all the things we love in a small town.A little bit of drama, community, and a good old love triangle. This show is a coming of age story that shows love and loss for the 15-year-old Jackie Howard.

  • Friends (Hulu)

Given the recent passing of Matthew Perry it seems only right for this show to make the list. This is a great show if you are looking for a laugh. It follows 6 friends: Monica, Joey, Rachel, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross as they learn to navigate their life through the big city.

  • The Crown (Netflix)
  • Outlander (Netflix)

If you have been loving all the book adaptations this is another good one to add to your list. This is a fun Period Piece to watch as a World War II nurse travels back in time 200 years and begins an adventure of a lifetime that leaves her torn between two lives. 

  • The Diplomat (Netflix)

Watch as Kate Wyler gets shot up her work place ladder during a work crisis. As she becomes the new US Diplomat to the UK. Forced to learn how to handle this new high-profile job while also juggling a crumbling marriage viewrs get to watch a political drama that doesnt take place in Washington,DC.

  • Parks and Recreation (peacock)

Another great workplace sitcom that is an easy show to watch in the background of making your holiday cookie, or if your like me rewatch . As it follows Leslie Knops promise to a concerned citizen Amy that she will turn a pit into a park. 

  • The Sex Lives Of College Girls (MAX)

If you’re missing your college life just a bit this show will take you back to a college campus as four freshmen just start off their college life and become roommates Learning to jump the hurdles that are thrown their way.

  • Upload (Amazon Prime)

A Sci-fi Comedy that shows what the afterlife looks like for Nathan when his consciousness is uploaded onto a database following his death. His death was a result  of something going wrong with \ his self-driving car. We also get to meet his angel Nora and what the life for the living looks like in this time/world.

The summer I turned Pretty (Amazon Prime)

Following two moms, their children and the love triangle that ensues between two brothers and one girl as they deal with first love and heartbreak all in one perfect summer on cousins beach.

The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel (Amazon Prime)

Following the life of Midge Maisel in the late 1950’s as she goes from a house wife with a husband and two children in their upper west side apartment to a stand up comedian.

Samantha Moutsatsos is a returning member to Her Campus at NCSU. This is her second year being a part of the organization. She typically writes on topics focused around pop culture, fashion and the latest trends. Outside of Her Campus, Samantha is working towards a double degree in Chemical Engineering and Paper Science Engineering, with a minor in Polymer and Color Chemistry. This past summer she studied abroad in Lyon, France at ITECH, a small school known for its Leather program. She got to tour a LVMH Leather Tannery, go to a shoe museum and other trips around France while getting hands-on learning in labs and learning to make dyes, paints and cosmetics. Samantha was born in Mineola, New York but spent the 14 years leading up to college in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan with her younger brother and dog Zeus. She loves traveling, writing, making art, hanging out with friends, watching tv shows, shopping and reading in her free time. She is currently watching Madam Secretary on Netflix. After graduating Samantha hopes to start her own makeup company and get the opportunity to travel around the world for work. She hopes to live in Europe for a part of her life. After graduation I hope to continue to write and one day publish a book.
