Freshmen year is just about over and many of us have made it extremely memorable. Prior to coming to A&T, I was told many times to take advantage of my resources, professors, and experience. Going outside of your comfort zone and doing things outside of the box can really be beneficial when you look back at all you’ve done and all you can do.
Alex Bailey, Zaquan Campbell, and Donte Johnson came up with the idea of “Leap Year Leadership.”
“Seeing that we are in a leap year, the program was a day of mentorship with the middle college,” Bailey reveals. The day consisted of each of them giving testimonies on things they have experienced and advice that they would feel to help the young men 14-18 years old. Bailey also says that he plans to make it an annual program. Johnson explains that the day was, “a very humbling and maturing [event].” A feeling of gratitude overcomes Campbell, stating that he believes it is a duty to advise these young men to a better future.
Miss Ashley Morings is another student embracing her time at A&T. Her major is Animal Science and the “hands-on” aspect of it keeps her interested. To be honest, when I asked her about how much she enjoyed her coursework, she was the only person to give me such an electrifying answer. After graduation, Morings plans to become a certified Physician’s Assistant. They practice medicine on teams with other healthcare workers.
Now, me, myself, I have noticed that my fellow aggies are exceptionally fashionable. So I decided to start a fashion blog to display the people who, I believe, have looks that are drop dead gorgeous and unique. I hope to make those who are featured feel really special about themselves.
P.S. Mr. Alex Bailey is running for Mr. Sophomore!
